The historians say that the ancient land of Iran has long been the source of knowledge and Iranians have played a significant role in the development, evolution and promotion of science and civilization. It has an estimated population of 86.8 million making it the 17th-most populous country in the world, and the second-largest in the Middle East. Iran has the world's second largest proved gas reserves after Russia, with 33.6 trillion cubic meters,and the third largest natural gas production after Indonesia and Russia. It also ranks fourth in oil reserves with an estimated 153,600,000,000 barrels.Iran's total oil and gas reserves rank first in the world. Iran has ranked 21st in the world in the most cited qualitative scientific articles.Despite all the sanctions and threats, the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the efforts and endeavors of its youth and specialists, has been ranked among the 5 most advanced countries in the world in terms of scientific knowledge and nuclear technology.Meanwhile, Iran ranks first in the world in terms of scientific growth.In 2021, more than 78,000 scientific documents have been published from Iran) in non-Persian languages (and our country has won the first scientific rank in the region. Medical knowledge in Iran has made significant progress, especially in areas such as stem cells, spinal cord injury repair, strategic drug production, animal cloning, etc.Today, Iran is one of the top heart surgery countries in the world and one of the few countries where heart transplants are performed. 140 heart transplant operations in the country are in the brilliant record of heart surgery in Iran and the world.Cornea bank in Iran is one of the best cornea banks in the world and within 24 hours the desired cornea of the patient is prepared. Now, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been able to take the fourth place in the world in the field of Nano by publishing 8791 articles, while Iran also has the largest share of the production of this science among Islamic countries with the production of 40% of nano science. In the field of export, knowledge-based products based on nano are exported to 47 countries. The Islamic Republic of Iran is among the 12 countries with a full cycle of space technology that operate in the field of satellites, ground stations, launchers and using satellite networks. Today, Iran ranks 14th in the world in steel and aluminum production, 8th in cement production, 5th in ceramic production, 12th in vehicle engine production, and 18th in automobile and copper production. Another point that should be mentioned is related to the progress of women in Iranian society.In Iran, while acknowledging the equality of men and women's rights, suitable fields have been provided for the growth of women.Examining the position of Iranian women during 4 decades, we realize the importance of their role in the dynamics of society. So that, 56% of students in Iran are women and girls.This ratio is expected to increase even more.This is while 33.3% of university faculty members are women, and furthermore, 9,500 women work as writers and publishers.So far, they have won 97 seats of international sports federations. They also have significant activities in the field of cinema.Women filmmakers won 114 national awards and 128 international awards.It should be noted that today, there are 903 female filmmakers and 2000 female specialists working behind the scenesin cinema. In conclusion, it is worth mentioning that the historical and cultural commonalities between Iran and Hungary proves theexistence of capacities to strengthen cooperation in the economic, political and cultural fields.In particular, Iran can be a reliable partner with its large capacities, including huge reserves and numerous sources of energy supply and educated people to strengthen cooperation with Hungary.
