Iranian, Hungarian top diplomats discuss bilateral ties, Gaza carnage

Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian spoke on Monday on the phone with his Hungarian counterpart, Peter Szijjarto, about expansion of bilateral ties and the latest developments in West Asia, especially the situation in Palestine.

The Iranian foreign minister touched on the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip due to the Zionist regime’s heinous crimes, saying, “The regime has openly breached all human and international rights by bombing and mass murder of the people in the Gaza Strip.”

Amirabdollahian said the international community should apply pressure in order to immediately stop the Zionist regime’s military aggression in Gaza, establish an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, and pave the way for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people in Gaza.

Meanwhile, during the talks, the top Iranian diplomat pointed to the growing trend in Iran-Hungary ties and stated, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to hold a joint commission between the two countries in Tehran.”

He further said that continuing consultations is definitely very constructive for the promotion of ties between the two countries.

For his part, the Hungarian foreign minister elucidated his country’s stance on the ongoing developments in Palestine.

He also expressed hope that growing trend in the relations between Iran and Hungary would be maintained and elevated in all aspects
